What We Collect

When you use mdstill without an account, we collect only what is necessary to provide the service: uploaded files (processed in-memory and deleted immediately), basic request logs (IP address, timestamp, file type), and anonymous usage analytics.

When you create an account, we additionally store your email address and hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

File Handling

Your files are deleted immediately after processing. We do not store, cache, or retain uploaded documents or their converted output on our servers. Conversion happens in isolated processes that are terminated after each job.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the conversion service
• To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
• To send transactional emails related to your account
• To generate aggregate, anonymized statistics about service usage

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

mdstill uses a minimal set of cookies required for authentication and theme preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

Data Retention

Uploaded files: deleted immediately after conversion. Account data: retained until you delete your account. Conversion logs (file type, size, mode — no file content): retained for up to 90 days for service improvement.

Your Rights

You can export or delete your data at any time from the Account section of your dashboard. Export returns a JSON file containing your profile, conversion history, and linked accounts. Delete permanently removes your account and all associated records; this cannot be undone. If you cannot access your dashboard, email mdstill.support@gmail.com and we will process the request within 30 days (GDPR Articles 15 and 17).
