Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using mdstill ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

mdstill is a document conversion tool that transforms files (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, HTML, EPUB, CSV, and other formats) into Markdown. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.

Your Content

You retain all rights to files you upload. We do not claim ownership of your content. Files are processed in memory and deleted immediately after conversion. We do not store, review, or access the content of your documents beyond what is required for conversion.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to process illegal content or content that violates third-party rights
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures
  • Use automated tools to abuse the Service beyond reasonable usage patterns
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

Accounts and Usage Tiers

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. Usage is subject to the limits of your plan. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or exhibit abusive behavior.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, conversion errors, or service interruptions. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, code, and branding are the property of mdstill. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to our trademarks, logos, or proprietary technology.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
